Jointly assumed by Strategic Alliance of Fishery Medicine Industrial Technology Innovation, Tongwei Co., Ltd. and major domestic research institutes, Tongwei Fish Health Standards Technology Construction and Application Project was officially initiated at Tongwei Headquarters on July,8.

　　Officials from aquaculture research institutes and experts from Tongwei Enterprise Technology Center witnessed the start of preparation research for global health standards in fish farming industry. Originating this standard system makes advantages for seizing the high ground in aquatic products market access. 

　　Vice President of Tongwei Co., Ltd. Liu Zhiquan said in his speech, Tongwei has attached great importance to scientific innovations with its State-level Enterprise Technology Center, National Lab Accredited Testing Center, and Sichuan Provincial Aquaculture Project Technology Research Center. As the nation’s No. 1, Tongwei aquafeed has captured China’s market share for 16 consecutive years. Tongwei Fish, the first brandname fish has been widely accepted at different markets. In addition, it also has made breakthroughs at major and common disease control techniques for farmed animals, as well as research and development of vaccines, immune enhancer, and prohibited drug alternatives.

　　Tongwei Fish Health Standards Technology Construction and Application Project is set up by Tongwei Technology Center in 2007, based on the research of Grass Carp Health Evaluation Standard System and Shared Testing Services Platform. During the preliminary study, Tongwei has made progress in evaluation index, evaluation index measuring method, testing technical parameters, and technical reserves, and has made several research reports. Among these, Histological Patterns of Grass Carp has filled the gaps in this area internationally, and will be published soon.
