June, 17, Tongwei attended Shanghai World Expo SEAT (Sustaining Ethical Aquaculture Trade) project promotion of EU-CHINA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK.

The workshop focused on how the EU should maintain a collaborative research with China for aquaculture sustainability. It discussed issues relating to China’s aquatic products export to the EU, and further on the influence of Ethical Aquatic Food Index (EAFI) on China’s aquatic exports (especially tilapia and shrimps) to the EU.

On behalf of the Board Chairman of Tongwei Group Mr. Liu Hanyuan, the General Manager of Tongwei Aquaculture Co., Ltd., Mr. Li Yong made a presentation of Healthy Aquaculture and Sustainable Development of China’s Fishery Industry. The company perseveres in feed and aquaculture core business development, as well as its industrial chain build-up on its way to the world-class safe food supplier. It will make every effort to contribute to the sustainable development of ethical aquaculture with EU-funded research projects involving European and Chinese partners.
