Taking “Healthy Aquaculture and Sustainable Development of Fishery Industry” as its theme, the 2010 Tongwei (East China) Fisheries Technology Forum was successfully held in Beijing on May, 18. Co-organized by China Fisheries Association and Tongwei Co., Ltd., the forum invited over 400 experts, entrepreneurs, farmers, and feed dealers from aquaculture and fisheries industry in China, especially East China.

　　Vice Chairman of China Fisheries Association, Chairman of Jiansu Fisheries Association, Li Guoping addressed the forum. He expressed the wish to establish a long term cooperative relationship with Tongwei, and make greater contributions to China’s fisheries industry.

　　At the forum, senior experts from Chinese Academy of Sciences made specific presentations on reproduction and physiology of crucian carp, ecological control technology of fish and shrimps, and raw material selection and fermentation feed under the high cost of fish meal.

　　In addition, there were lectures and discussions held on disease control of aquatic animals, aquaculture techniques, fish micronutrient research, aquatic products quality and safety, macroeconomic policy, fisheries corporate management, breeding patterns, and animal nutrition.

　　In future, Tongwei Fisheries Technology Forum will continue to be held in different cities in China. It aims to provide a great platform for communications in depth and width in modern fisheries and aquaculture areas.
