On December 23rd, the first congress of Democratic National Construction Association of Meishan was held. In the Congress, the first committee of Democratic National Construction Association of Meishan was chosen and the resolutions are passed. Zhu Minghong was chosen as chairman, Tong Yinglin and Chen Jinghui were vice chairmen, and Cheng Jinghui was adjunct secretary-general. Cheng Wenhua, the Chairman of Democratic National Construction Association of Sichuan and vice Governor of Sichuan Province, Yao Sidan, administrative vice minister of United Front Work Department of Sichuan Provincial Committee of CPC, Li Jing, the deputy secretary of Meishan Municipal Committee and mayor of Meishan presented the congress and delivered important speeches. Meanwhile, Wang Yuanyong, vice chairman of Democratic National Construction Association of Sichuan Province, and Liu Hanyuan, vice chairman of Democratic National Construction Association, member of the standing committee of CPPCC, member of the standing committee of Democratic National Construction Association presented the congress.

Chairman Chen Wenhua pointed out that the founding of the first committee of Democratic National Construction Association of Meishan will help to build prosperous economy and a harmonious society. Li Jing thought that the founding of the first committee is a big event for Meishan, which will help to promote democracy, to consolidate and develop the patriotic united front, and to consolidate and develop long-term cooperation with democratic parties.
